Campus groups who are working on sustainability or climate-related initiatives are encouraged to formally join TEAM MN in order to create a structured and effective network. We want your group to join us!

The benefits for campus groups who join TEAM MN include:

   * Access to the statewide network of youth organizers, including student trainers;
   * Connections to youth organizers outside of the state through TEAM MN's affiliated national youth organizations, such as the Sierra Student Coalition and the Energy Action Coalition;
   * Connections to TEAM MN's affiliated regional non-profits, including the Will Steger Foundation, Global Warming 101, and REAMP;
   * Opportunities for involvement in statewide and regional campaigns;
   * Limited consultation and support in general campaign and organizational development skills (campaign planning, leadership development, media, volunteer outreach and recruitment, event planning, etc.);
   * Access to the creation of a bi-weekly newsletter, sent out to TEAM MN members and allies across the state.
   * Semi-annual summits to develop network capabilities;
   * An empowered voice in the decision-making and long-term direction setting of TEAM MN;
   * Access and use of the TEAM MN Google Group, which includes discussion space with other Minnesota student organizers, files, and other resources;
   * Access and use of the TEAM MN website, which includes space to promote events and publish stories through blogs and media space.
   * Peer-to-peer connection, mutual support, and solidarity with a growing statewide and national movement;

Campus groups affiliated with TEAM MN are expected to:
   * Identify 2 spokes* that TEAM MN can contact about your state or regional network;
   * State their affiliation with TEAM MN on their website, if they have one;
   * Participate in and recruit for TEAM MN statewide campaigns, events and trainings.

*"Spokes" are students who act as contact people for each campus group.  Each campus group is asked to have 2 spokes, at least one of whom is not a senior.  Spokes are expected to share the following duties:
   * Have at least one spoke represent their campus group on bi-weekly conference calls.
   * Facilitate the distribution of TEAM MN newsletters, as well as appropriate announcements, invitations, and campaign materials, to their group's members.
   * Establish and maintain contact with their regional organizer.
