-Minnesota Powershift recap
1. Minnesota Powershift recap
On October 3, 2008, over 150 students, community members, and nonprofit leaders gathered at Washburn High School in Minneapolis for Minnesota Powershift. Over the course of three days, we listened to speakers, went to workshops, and networked with each other. We empowered ourselves by combining our knowledge and skills and developed new and lasting relationships. These relationships are the foundation for change in our society. The people at Minnesota Powershift will be developing the solutions to global climate change, poverty, environmental injustice, and (good timing) an entirely new economy.

2. At Minnesota Powershift, we began planning for the (third?) annual "strategic planning and becoming better friends" TEAM Minnesota fall retreat. We decided that we would meet up November 7-9 at St. Cloud, MN at College of St. Ben's-St. John's University. We are going to do some solid night camping, fire burning, network building, capacity building, climate changing awesomeness with our awesome friends from across the state. If you'd like to attend or for more information, please email Kai at kbosworth@macalester.edu. We have also set up a google doc for carpooling here. Finally, make sure you are a member of the TEAM google group here.
